| TIP: Did you know that when you turn your tv , vcr, dvd off that they are actually still on and just in standby(some look like they are off with no lights visible)? While in standby they are still using electricity. If you plug these things into a strip with a power switch you can turn them off completely. This could affect clocks and recording timers on the vcr though. |
| TIP: Do you use outside flood lights? Did you know that they are available in CFL? A 23 watt CFL bulb puts out the same light as a standard 75 watt bulb. Make sure you get the ones for outdoor use! |
