Snoopy page two

We had to use baby and doggie diapers for this problem. As seen in this picture he started showing improvement just a few days after the diagnoses. He was sleeping and dreaming, kicking his front legs, his back not moving. He woke up suddenly and moved his rear legs just a little, but it was the first time he had moved them since this happened. I tickled his rear feet, he never did like to have his feet tickled, and he moved his legs just a little!

We worked with his legs, working the muscle. As he improved he went from dragging himself sideways to dragging his legs as seen in the picture. He could move himself very quickly this way. He even tried to chase a cat that was in the yard.

In the beginning our other dogs knew something was wrong with Snoopy and did not really try to play with him, they did greet him but seem to know they had to be careful around him.

Slinky was the first to really start playing with him again and soon after the others started treating him more like before. He did develope sores on his back feet from dragging them, we tried to keep some type of bandage on his feet. They came off fairly quickley. We tried baby socks as well.

This picture represents Snoopy's gradual improvement. He is able to stand and walk to some degree. He stumbles alot and looks like his back legs are in slow motion compared to his front legs. He shows improvement almost everyday. His feet have almost healed up now and he has almost complete control of his body functions now. He does have an occasional accident. We only have to use the diapers when we are gone for awhile. He's even starting to be able to wag his tail again. He's even able to get up on the couch all by himself.
